I think about her sometimes, and I wonder where she ended up. I don't know
why, but when I think about 4th grade and Pinoak Lane I get a sad feeling that
something tragic happened back then, but I don't know what exactly it is. Maybe
it's just that Dionysus never got around to fucking Athena. He should
have.
We were all skidding into adulthood all those years, Stacy and me, Paul
Weinhofer and Ken Gregorio and Rich Lorenz and everybody else. We skidded and
we fell. The asphalt was just so good on Pinoak Lane.
