About the Author
David Powelstock
David Powelstock currently teaches Russian and Czech literatures and the
Humanities at the University of Chicago. He has translated numerous
works from Czech and Russian into English, including two novels by Czech
writer Iva Pekárková, Truck Stop Rainbows and
The World is Round. Other translations have appeared in
Bandicoot, Mutatis Mutandis, Five Fingers
Review, and Grand Street.
